I was listening to an NPR story on the intelligence investigation committee and how they found a potential tie between the Pentagon's Office of Special Planning and the Vice President's Chief of Staff. Oooo, intrigue!
This one's a longshot, but my prediction is that Bush's advisors will push him to drop Cheney from the ticket and pin the misuse of intelligence and the exaggeration of Iraq's threat on the Vice President, spinning it as a betrayal. Then Bush can run with a significantly more popular VP. I don't know who though. Colin Powell? Scapegoating and dropping Cheney would almost certainly result in a landslide victory for Bush assuming nothing significantly worse happens to our nation in the meantime, especially if he's running against Kerry.
