A letter from April 17th, 2017

Emma, I'm dating Ethan now. Our relationship is stepping on an even better foot than dating Patrick. I'm trying to avoid the same mistakes as I did with Patrick. This is the first letter in this series that I'm writing, but this is the last one you will receive of this set. If you read this, still dating Ethan, I think both you and Ethan win. There was probably uphills and downhills getting to this point, but if you're at this point, that means Ethan hasn't been as toxic as Patrick, dating him for two years. If you guys last this long, it will be slightly over three years of dating. You guys started dating Apr 11th, 2017. I hope I don't look stupid for writing this, but... I've been thinking for most of this week... That Ethan seems to be so perfect for me and if I get my way, I'll marry him some day. This is where you come in. No, you're not going to propose. At the time I'm writing this, you're 18, he's 15. By this time, He is probably about a month away from graduating. At least my thought right now is that... give him a promise ring. Act like it's a proposal at first though. Explain that you want to be with him for the long run, i mean, if you guys have lasted this long. so... If it doesn't work out, and maybe you're dating someone else by now (which would make current me somewhat sad) Whatever. Ethan is the best you've had so.... you're choice
