Dear FutureMe,
Tonight you are feeling a lot of pain.
The A's lost in the post-season, once again. For the fourth straight year, and the ninth striaght game, they failed to close out a series.
I think they must have inherited a curse of their own. If we assume that they have approx. a 50% chance of winning any one of those games, the probability is about .2 of 1% that they'd in fact lose all nine. Yes. 2 times out of 1000 sets of 9 games would that happen. That's problematic.
And they lost to the class-less Boston Red Sox with stupid Derek Lowe humping the air and cocky Manny Ramirez show-boating and the dumb reserves inciting a chant from the Fenway crowd to taunt poor Ted Lilly.
For once in your life, you will actually root for the Yankees in ALCS.
In addition, you are feeling pain because after all this is only baseball, and why should you care what happens when a bunch of not-so-smart, and even a bit overweight in some cases, men who you do not know do on a field?
But I'll bet you're watching the play-offs again next year. How did the A's do this time?
From,
