Dear FutureMe,
So right about now you are probably freaking out about how to pay bills, make friends, and deal with living in a new place. My guess is also that you're going to be nervous as hell about making it as a writer. The last few months have been tough. But you're sending this email to yourself to remember that you've made it through tough things before, and you will make it through tough things again. Take walks, remember to live fear-less-ly, and take time to relax and comfort yourself. This is walking through the rain time, and the rain always stops or you find shelter in the storm. And remember to congratulate yourself on the things you *have* accomplished...
go take photographs today. snap pictures. draw with crayons. make watercolors. learn spanish. visit a library. make friends with the neighbors. think outside the box to solve a problem.
Live in ways that are ruled by the love you give out, not the fear you feel.
Much love,
Me
