Time Travelled — 6 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, My Dad was diagnosed with stage 3 tongue cancer at the end of January. He had a big surgery scheduled for February 20th, but his afib made them stop it. That was a long, weird day. The picture attached to this was from that day. So, it was rescheduled for March 9th. Jon, Ang, my mom and I were at the hospital for something like 14 hours. Then, he was in the ICU for a couple of weeks. They moved him to a private room after that. Now he's in this really ****** nursing home in Laurel to get rehab so he can walk again. He lost all muscle ability. He has a stomach tube so he can get nutrition. He's also in diapers. My mom is having someone install grab bars in their house for when he comes home. He then has to go back to Hopkins to get radiation for his cancer. I'm just not sure how much a person can take. But I guess we are still just going along until they say there's nothing more to do. Everything about this sucks and it has taken a toll on all of us. I'm writing this so I can remember. I wonder what things will be like 6 months from now. Love, Me
