Lowest Point (yet, and heaven forbid!)

Time Travelling — almost 1 year

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, How pathetic can you be? You have no job, not even a vague prospect of getting one, no money, no "space" you can call your own, and probably, no hope of making "it". To make things worse, you only realized, within the last year or so, your true passion in life. But at 27 and thousands of miles away from the community that "might" make your dreams happen, there is little (if not merely to be statistically realistic) doubt that you will NOT make it as a writer. Why not in your own homeland? Why does it have to be in the land of smiles, cars, and uplifted breasts? Oh, I remember, it's because they happen to embrace the culture you very much emanate (or is it the other way around?). But still, being as it is, that you are inclined to write for an audience that could very well be 'them', it doesn't change the fact that you are a LOSER! No beating around the bush there. How unlucky can you actually be when God decided on the citizenship/nationality of people in the world and didn't happen to tag you with the three-letter dream? It would've been at least 50% easier, right? You're not asking for sure-fire success that your writing passion be made into a full-time career... all you're asking is a clean, decent shot at it. But hey, all is not lost in the world. The 2 most precious souls in the world to you are right behind you, sleeping the night away, and dreaming about the happy memories they have with you. At least they keep you sane, hopeful(?), and inspired to go on -- for them... because of them. So what do you say you put all those "hardships" behind huh? Forget the endless battery of trials and tribulations that you've been getting since you graduated. So what if this Christmas you're going to do a Lakers threepeat? (3 years straight with no money, no job at Christmas time). So what if you've been searching for a career that you'll be passionate about and only found it recently? At least you've found it; people spend a lifetime and only discover things on their deathbed. So what if, after 7 years, you're still a job-hunting sucker and never excelled in the corporate world? Corporate jobs are boring anyway, and besides, you're an artist (writer), remember? So what if you've spent a whole year on a project that you thought would lead you to financial freedom and in the end never even received a penny? Because of that, you were propelled to write your very first story, and never stopped since. And finally, so what if you're in a slump right now and everything seems to turn against you? Who knows, by the time you receive this, you could be writing your Nth award-winning story from your posh apartment out there where your heart is.
