Life Changes

Time Travelled — 12 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Another year, another letter. So far, this has been the best tradition we’ve had. Maybe the only one? Now you’re 23. But me, I am 22. I am still learning and I bet you are as well. I wonder what you have learned that I haven’t. 2022 has taught us that life changes and that change sometimes is good, sometimes is bad. Sometimes it seems bad but ends up being good. Sometimes it seems good but ends up being bad. I bet you remember how crazy change was for us in 2022. We thought we had it all. We thought we had what we wanted. Turns out we didn’t! I wish we could have a chat with ourselves from 2021. Imagine that!! 2021 us had life set: a good job, a long lasting relationship. Life in another country. We lost everything. 2021 us would freak out. What do you mean we don’t leave in Amster*** anymore? What do you mean we are back in Italy? What do you mean were not dating him anymore? What do you mean were dating our best friend of years? I wish I could see her face! But deep down we knew the life we were living was not ours truly. We would’ve never expect our lives would’ve been this, but hey, I love that it is. I love how though we are. So: I hope this year you achieve everything. I hope you’re still happy in this unexpected relationship. So far, its what you’ve been hoping for and looking for in a relationship. I hope you started this project you’re thinking about. I hope it brings you somewhere. I love you with all my heart. Here’s to an even crazier year together! Best Past you.
