Okay. Firstly, I hope you still have this email address. You need to.......keep checking it. As of 2004, you've had it for six months. Hopefully you didn't subcome(sp) to Venus Rose's temptation for multiple email acounts.
I trust this Christmas finds you a little less pesimistic, and a little more accepting of how other peeps celebrate the season. I recall last Christmas you were more than a little frustrated with peeps saying that you had to be joyful. No, you don't have to be joyful. You can't create a feeling; but the point is that hopefully you learned to accomidate other peeps in order to help them appreciate God's gift for this season.
Mind you, that doesn't mean you have to be joyful this year. Last year you were contemplative, and that's a good thing. Don't lose that. You'll be thankful for it later. For in contemplation one is given Joy. (Yes, Joy with a capital J)
I certainly hope this past year finds you well. You were planing on getting out of the sound ministry at Revolution, and out of Cell Group in order to concentrate on your studies. BUT, I hope you haven't used this as an excuse to fall away. It's understandable if it happened, though. Peeps get (very) frustrated with God sometimes.
Though, you never did get frustrated with God because he didn't exist. You got frustrated for two reasons A)You sinned, and sinnned bad, causing you to fall into despair, or you B)God didn't seem to follow through on a prayer of yours. You never did have a hard time disbelieving in Jesus or the existence of God(You were always too intelectual to do that), but you knew that a person's words are useless unless they square with reality. Hence, your past year was probably spent learning on how to apply Jesus's words on prayer to actual experience. You even bought more than a few books on that subject. I hope you are more enlightened on that prospect.
With regard to the promise you made at the beginning of the year.........don't sweat it if you missed on a few of them. 1 out of 5 is NOT bad. You weren't optomistic on accomplishing any of them. PLUS, I'm willing to bet you accomplished more than one of them, you just don't know that you did.
I would take this time to find some people to spirtually pour into, if you aren't doing it already. You always did feel better when you were helping someone else with their dreams.
Regarding your afro dreams........I hope you didn't try it again this year, and if you did I hope you have some good reasons! If not, shave it off and buy yourself a hat!
Your love department was not running in full swing in March, due to the fact that you promised yourself not to try until you had your career and home life settled. By the beginning of this past year, it started to be. In March, you had set your eyes on Haley Laux..........Hopefully you didn't push it, and realized the difference between infatuation and love! Nothing probably came of it, nonetheless. You always were (wisely) slow about such matters.
Now, I also hope you finished reading the philosophers this year. You promised Ezekiel that you'd start reading the sci-fi stuff this year.
Also, you were a member of the Golden Sun forums called "Golden Twilight" Hopefully you're still there.......making you an old fogey there. Yay.
For a kid with no life, you have a lot to say. This is a good habit, and I encourage you to stir this up and use it towards writting.
Blessings, Peace, Truth, ect, ect ect. Have fun for the next year!
