Happy Birthday, Mom

Time Travelling — about 1 month

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMom, Hi, Mom. I'm writing this from futureme.org. It's currently March 2, 2006 (when did it become 2006? Does time always pass this quickly?), and you are packing to go back to Florida to say goodbye to your mother. I hope you know how sorry I am that this is happening. I love Grandma, and I am going to miss her, but I get more upset when I think about it because all it brings to mind is ME losing you, my own mother. I guess that is kind of selfish. But I wouldnt be able to handle that, because I love you, and I need your help to get me through. When I am miserable it is only you that can make me feel better, when you hug me and let me come home from school to just sleep and lay around and be safe and at home. I love you times a million, I hope you know that. You'd better know that! I hope I am not being stupid right now, whatever I am up to at this point in time. And I have just decided which day to send this to you- your birthday! That's a month and a half away. I dont know what will be going on with Grandma, but I hope everything is OK, and that you're having an amazing day. You deserve it. And I hope you're smiling, and happy, and stuff. You look far too good to be 60. Did you know I turn 20 this year? We hit these big numbers together, you and me. I'll be officially 1/3 your age! You look better than me for your age, I think. I can't wait to see you again, whenever that may be! Maybe I'll come home some weekend, or something. The only three day weekend in Spring Quarter is late May, so I dont think that'll work. Again, I love you. You are the best mother anyone could ask for. I miss you! ~Morgan
