Time Travelled — 12 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Well, today was my first day of senior year. Just think. In a year, I’ll be starting college. That’s insane. Are you nervous? I would be. You are starting a new chapter of your life. Alone. And homeschooling was different. You were alone by yourself. Now you’ll be alone but people will be around. You will make friends tho. I know it. And please, don’t worry about what people will think of you. You are going to be fine. We’ve made it this far, we’ll keep going. Plug yourself into your campus. Make some time to explore. And don’t stress too much about grades. Enjoy the college life. You get to learn the basics and fundamentals of what is going to be your career. What you are learning is going to help a lot of people heal. I’m proud of us for getting to college. It took a lot to be here. You made it through depression, tons of essays, losing friendships, worrying about boys (ugh), and so many other things. You are strong. You persevered. You even made it through history of Mexico! That sucked lol. Please continue in your faith. Stay connected in God’s word. Find a Christian group there. Maybe go to young adults. Just keep your foundation in him. He is your strongest and most reliable Rock in your life. You might lose friendships from high school. That’s okay if it doesn’t work out that y’all are the best of friends. You’ll meet new people. You might even meet the man of your dreams. And even if you don’t, that’s okay too. It might feel like people are pressuring you into dating or finding the right guy, but take it slow. There’s no rush. You will find a guy. Only date if you think it might be worth it. I do think it would be cool to go on a blind date! Maybe. You do you. Make some solid guy friends anyways. Not every guy will be interested in you. But great friendships may still be good :) Have fun, okay? Go get coffee with friends. Take some breaks. Don’t always be so stuck on grades and essays. You for sure need to focus on them, but also balance your life. Make time for what makes you happy. Even if that’s one hour a week of yoga. Relax and enjoy this moment. It will pass. But don’t let it fly away like a kite in the wind. And don’t be a kite in the wind either. Don’t be pushed around doing this or that. Make the choices that you want to make. This is becoming your life now. What are you going to do with it?
