Dear FutureMe,
I am in Culver right now and I am currently having my class write to their futrue selves. As I am waiting for them to finish up, I have been reading the public letters here on FutureMe. They are so inspiring. Yet, I also see the humanity in it. I see how at the core, people all really want the same thing. We want love. We want to be happy. We want to make sure that in the future, our life is good. Maybe people are writing to themselves because they really are just that unhappy and writing to the future makes them feel better about themselves. Maybe they feel that the act of writing a letter to their future holds them accountable.
Happy Birthday, Megan. You are a strong, independent young woman who has an extremely bright future ahead of her. I am sure that through my senior year of college I have endured massive amounts of stress all while loving what I am doing. The kids are what make it worth it. I really hope that I am happy. That I can see where my future will take me in the next year or two and I am excited about it. Turning 22 might be an insignificant birthday, but it is important to me. I do not want myself to forget how valuable my life is. How much I can do in one year. How choices and decisions might be insignificant at that time, but in the log run impact the trajectory of my whole life.
Epilogue
