Dear FutureMe,
How's it going? I am sending you this e-mail on Jan 18 06. Things are good with you now. Hopefully, when you read this, on your 40th birthday, you will be in better shape (in all regards) than most 40 year olds. I made a promise to gain weight and add muscle, keep running, and generally be as healthy as possible. If I am still in the military when you read this, then more than likely I am still single. That's OK; that's the committment and sacrifice I have placed on myself and still accept. I hope my family is still alright and happy with their lives. That's about all for now. If you are still alive and read this, then congratulations on a well-lived life, with integrity and honor. One should not ask for much more than that.
Here's to you!
John
