Dear FutureMe,
I am currently listening to “When Nobody’s Watching” by Jess Benko. I’m hoping I don’t go through another identity crisis. I am eating sour strawberries with the cold air hitting my arms. Now I’m listening to “Orange” by seven oops.
I hope to read more this year, write a few pages a day of my story, preach a few more hours a month, lower my A1C to less than 8 and find out what my next goal in life is. There is also a small part of me that hopes for another chance at liking someone. It’s too much to ask and it makes me lightly grit my teeth while smiling but it’s just an idea. I hope to remember that I don’t have to “stay in character” to enjoy life’s moments. To allow myself to smile when I want to smile. Just like the good years. Hopefully all this or at least a few things became true in 2022.
