Dear 16 year old me, Woah! Happy Birthday! Holy shit, you can get your learner's permit... AND work legally. If you were in Europe, you could drink too. I just read my email from 2020 me and it was so funny. I read it as mostly cringeworthy but somewhat sincere. I'm going for a similar vibe now. In the letter, I made a terrible guess about covid being over. Speaking of which, is there still covid? I hope there's no irony there. You would've gotten the second dose last year so I'm hoping you had a relatively normal school year. Did you go on any trips? I'm really excited for the camping trip at the end of my summer, how was that and are you volunteering at a summer camp this year? Have you made any new friends at school? How's Miguel doing? Is there any media that absolutely blew your mind recently? Did Spiderverse 2 come out yet? Wait, no it wouldn't have. Hopefully you got a trailer at least. There's so much I have to ask but I can't think of anything. Do you have a girlfriend? My man, if you're sixteen and still single. I'm kidding, take you're time! Uhh... I should've found a better time to write. Oh! Henrique graduated, that's awesome. Did he throw the cap in the air or is that just in movies? Have you had any super memorable moments? A feeling when you're sitting somewhere and you know you'll remember it. Yeah I can't think of much else. How's Quia doing, job-wise and personally? Is she famous yet - not that it matters but it's nice when talent is recognized. Have you made any art you're proud of? What cool shit did you learn? Do you own any albums on vinyl record? How's your journal progress going? What stuff do you have planned for the summer? Sorry, this isn't an interrogation. I'm just happy to be sending you this message.
