      Dear FutureMe,
Maybe if you're having a hard time, you can read this and know that someone cares about you. Even if that someone is gone.
I really hope you're not dead. If you are, I suppose that's destiny.
It would be better for both of us if you aren't, though.
I've always hated thinking about growing up. But since you're reading this, it means you did. Just thinking about it is making me sad. I know that I'll be missing the years back then, but I'm still typing out this letter. Better be safe, just in case.
To all the people I've forgotten, all the friends I've lost, all the things I've given up, I want you to know that I miss you. Even if I can't say by name.
Here are some to remember:
-All your teachers
-The school nurse
-The bus drivers
-The nice janitor
-The lady that gave you a COVID-19 shot
-Mister Rogers, the one who helped us through the tough times
-The teachers at your old school
-Ms. Knobbe, your favorite school counselor
-Autumn and all your other friends.
I hope you haven't forgotten them. You had an attachment and a fear of forgetting people back then, that may explain all of this.
Please still be like you are now. I can't help but like myself, even though I really shouldn't, but I don't want to change in the future. Maybe you'll know that you were really cool and you should go back to who you were. Or, maybe you've changed for the better and that you won't. Your decision.
I can imagine the way I look now. Like an older, 5'3 version of myself.
Yes, if you grew, you were very short back then. 4'8 currently.
With love,
Your former self.
