Dear FutureMe,
Remember those sleepless nights of the baby and/ or toddler waking up every two hours, moving house with a 3 month old and a 20 month old, finding out the new (68 yr old) house needs tons of hard labor and cash infusions, never ever ever having 5 minutes of alone time to do anything remotely creative or intellectually stimulating? Yeah. Those were the good old days.
You'll be missing the smell of a sweet baby's head by now. Remember the good stuff too. And I hope to god we've finished painting the house by the time you get this. If not, screw it, go to the park. Try not to freak out about the mortgage so much that you never travel again. Life's about the experience, not just fiscal responsibility. Laugh with your girls. Plant a garden. Try to be happy with what you have. Good luck.
love,
-Me
