Re: I was young and foolish then, I'm old and foolish now

Time Travelling — almost 1 year

Peaceful right?

Hey there. What are you up to? Do you still live where you lived before, in your cute drafty bungalow? Perhaps you're pregnant again. How's that going? So the kid is almost three years old now. How amazing, isn't it? I mean, he's 11 months old as I type this, and it really flew by. I wonder what he'll be doing, what he'll be saying. He's just now getting the hang of walking, and any second now those garbled consonants and vowels he spouts are going to organize themselves into words. Remember those little hand-me-down baby blue checkered overalls? He's wearing those today. Very cute. And there's the husband. Are you guys still in love? Did you fall out of love and then back in? Did it all come undone? I hope that the love is still there. Right now, it's hard work remembering how to love before the kid came along, but I hope that all is well and you've figured out how by now. He's an amazing man, you know. Don't forget that. He's special. He has a tender soul and he does for you like no one else. He doesn't have to be perfect, he just has to be himself, right? I feel some big internal changes are coming right now. Perhaps you have it all figured out by now. Perhaps it's worse than ever before, but good lord I hope not. I hope that the counseling has helped and you've come to realize that your defeatist attitude has held you back in the past but it's not going to anymore. Go you! If you are still beating yourself up in the future, remember this: You are human. Humans fuck up. It's okay as long as you did/do your best. That doesn't mean you can slack off, though. Do something good with yourself. Do something you can be proud of. Okay? You are really great. I love you.
