Dear Lillian,
I'm literally in such a bad place right now. Shocking, right? It's not like it gets worse every year I go forward. But that's just the overview. I know in the small moments that things are good. I'm taking baby steps toward my dreams. Even though I feel discouraged a lot of the time, I can't deny the progress. You need to look at the small moments right now.
Listen, I know you're stressed. You haven't had a final exam in over a year, and you've NEVER had a final for college. Think about this, though. In a week you'll be cozily laying under a blanket, Christmas music on, lights dim. School will be done for the time being, and you can finally relax. You have scaled mountains that I haven't even discovered yet. To be frank, I'm jealous. You're lucky compared to me. But if you're reading this, you know I succeed. If not, then you either ****** yourself or failed so bad that dad ****** you. Uhhh... Hopefully neither of those things happen.
Anyway,,, Yeah! Don't forget to brush your teeth and take care of your hair. Be nice to someone today, even if it's you. AND HAVE FUN!!! I don't care if there's a pandemic, I don't care if you're depressed, I don't CARE IF YOU'RE LONELY!!! Have. Fun. It's Christmas!
With lots and lots of love,
A very hopeful younger Lillian :)
