Dear Future Me,
I'm trying to make the right, rational decision for W's sake. I've made a longer final appointment at the vets. This is my first time dealing with such things. W is old and arthritic. We tried pain meds (despite the cost), but she then refuses her food (it's been played with!), and the others eat it instead. Shes now doubly incontinent and struggling to get motivated to come out for food like she did a year ago. I always said felt cats are unable to go out and do their business, they must be struggling, as being clean and covering their tracks is part of their nature. So what am I to do? keep lifting her out for feeding and cleaning up after her? or is it time to call time? I think so. Obviously the person closest to her is devastated, but this is probably the best time for them- thinking about their bigger picture too. Trying to do the right thing for both cat and people, a tough one!
