A letter from June 27th, 2018

Dear FutureMe, I hope you're not in pain. I hope you are happy, where ever you are. I love you. Because you're me, and I'm you. We can't love anyone else if you can't let you love yourself. Hang in there if you're having a rough time. I'm having a hard time at this moment. I had just decided to go on so many first dates, men and one woman included but no one stuck and I'm still thinking of some rejections. My therapist encouraged me to and maybe she's bold but I like her excitement. "You can date both genders, there are so many opportunities!" It may be true. But I'm unsure. I'm attracted to certain types of people, regardless of gender, I think. I hope you've got what you're looking for. Or you know what you're looking for and have a plan in place. But it's always nice to be able continuously go towards a goal right? A work-in-progress, even as a 38 year old. Achieve what you can with what you have. Know you're unique and can contribute in so many ways. I'm getting there right now. I'm in that one job that I'm trying to quit because I want to say HEY I CAN BE IN CONTROL not be in a job that I have to limit myself to. What's your proudest moment? Did you re-connect with your family? Is mom and dad okay? How about brother? Is there a little human involved? Do you still ride your bike? I hope you have been adventurous and safe. I have just completed my hardest bike ride so far with conquering lots of hills, hike and biking, dirt paths, etc. Did you do more? How are the friends? I love all of them right now and hope all is going well. They have supported me so much currently so I hope you have been nice to them. Don't be selfish ;-) You know you can be. Express yourself - be affectionate! Okay I'm signing off because it's a random Wednesday work day and it's time for me to go ride home and Netflix (does this company still exist?!). And just relax.
