Dear FutureMe,
Remember who God is and what it means to be his child... Remember captain Moroni, and his title of liberty: "In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children." Most of all, now, in this moment-- remember that god sent his only begotten son as a sacrifice on your behalf so you can rise to meet your potential. You are truly a daughter of God, a queen, a goddess in embryo. You are magnificent.
These things are important: God, family, seeking and taking correction.
Review your personal creed if you haven't already. You know where it is kept.
Right now, in this moment in your past, I am running from boys and learning not to be afraid of love. I am trying to be unafraid of the semester ahead of me-- I'm running scared that I will succumb to pride and compare myself to others and thus shut off learning from them. so I will seek correction and do my best to stay humble.
Maybe you'll be on your mission right now. Maybe you'll be married to Jon Rouse. Or maybe you'll be interning at Pixar. I don't know. But wherever this year takes us I hope you keep the humility and the meekness of those that will inherit the earth. in the words of one of your favorite songs,: " cast the burden from your shoulders-- don't carry it all, don't carry it all-- and you must bear your neighbor's burden within reason"- Cast your burdens on Him, the one who loves you the most.
-Loooove, Kim (:
