Dear FutureMe,
I am feeling desolate as hell, please tell me this month was better than the last few. I'm guessing the cramp in my ear was you telling me no.
Please try and enjoy yourself a bit. Hopefully, soon, we will be on writing up only and can work from hostel kitchens and trawling trains—anything to get me away from being stuck in this awful flat. Maybe we can go on a little road trip and see all of our friends that live outside of our hometown and our current city since all the ones that live here are perpetually "too busy". I can think of a journey through Cambridge, Bath and Edinburgh. It would make a good story the plot of me trying to finish my PhD and regain some human connection.
I hope we either got that root canal or didn't need it. I tried to sense you, and you said no lol; why am I not surprised. Oh soon? Ok, I guess that is good enough.
Go on, tell me something funny or good to cheer me up. I heard you say something about Hammersmith? Lol?
Ok, here is what I hope to have achieved by now:
finish chapter 4 or have started finishing chapter 5. To have drawn up a list of places to apply to and a timeline for applying.
