A letter from Jan 4th, 2022

Dear FutureMe, Hola! I'm back at it again I think for the fourth time. cool! So this is my life rn: It's covid season! they just came out with the fourth variant. In the future, what variant are you on? Is covid over (i doubt it but is it??)? is there a new disease out there entirely? Have you had to escape the officials but running away with nothing but your trusty dusty back-pack and aren't able to view this message at all? that's all nice and good, live my dream of surviving in a post-apoctyliptic world! It's new years season! this summer was surprisingly very hot and we even got fall this year! I liked picking peas. anyway there's a snowstorm outside rn but it looks cool so i dont mind. how are your drawing skills? the last picture I made was of Darsal in my white and gold sketchbook. I really want to improve! this year my drawings really sucked and I had like no motivation, but I'm trying to draw every day again and get back into using watercolours! lol i was just about to ask what you're doing for school this year but you're done!! well, until college. Have you decided what you're going to do for your future? HAVE YOU GOTTEN A JOB??? OR YOUR LICENCE?? I am really stressed to go for that test, I think I'll go in the summer after I've had some more practice. scary. I've been praying about it but I don't know what I'm gonna do in the future yet (duh). How did the Harry Styles cardigan turn out???? I'm currently working on the black squares. did I go with green or blue squares?? I hope green :) hey, do I have a BOYFRIEND YET???? I told myself that I wouldn't date until after I'm 18, after I've worked on being the "definition of love" (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). I probably don't even have a crush yet. sad. I don't right now. I wrote down my standards for a guy in my... what was it? Ok ya it was in my "Donut Worry" notebook. Have you made any new friends? have you LOST any?? How's the YouTube channel with Amareis going? right now I think we have like 30 subs. What shows are you watching? I'm still watching Miraculous but I don't like it as much anymore. I'm also getting into anime's like "Erased" and "Komi Can't Communicate" which I started yesterday. I probably sound like a broken record but (say this in a really depressed voice) do i have my new room yet ? I'm guessing no but you never know. Has there been any development on the basement?? What books are you reading? I have three (or four) on the go right now--- "not a fan", "Flight of Shadows", "Mark of the Raven" and the next book in the "left behind" series. How was this year, 2022? wow, it feels so weird typing that. I wrote down in my prediction that I thought this year would be good, or at least better than last year hopefully. I'm sure you're probably stressed out over SOMETHING. I usually am. That's what we have in common. we also have everything else in common except age. ha. HEY! you're an ADULT now!! how does it feel? intimidating? sad? I bet. Oh btw, I finished reading through the whole Bible! ofc you knew that, but I wanted to ask---how's the Bible study going? Not even started yet? so I thought. or not. What sketchbook number are you on? I dare you to redraw something from the sketchbook I'm in now (the white and gold one)! What have you crocheted this year? Oh, HOW LONG IS YOUR HAIR?? did you make the chop?? I'm actually almost at my goal of waist-length so I might wait until it's down to my wrists because I don't want to cut it! what is your hair-care routine like? mine consists of washing it every saturday, shampooing twice then conditioner, drying it with a shirt and combing it with a really small tooth comb so that it doesnt look so greasy. of course though, my hair still gets greasy like after the third day so I might have to change my routine. I just realized that this is the only year that me and all my siblings will be teenagers. wow. Well, that was chaotic. but anywho, this is the part of the show where I get deep and try to give someone I don't even know a motivational talk: You got this. It's probably (well hopefully not but you never know) a rough time right now and you're stressing over something again. But don't give up! make the most of your life. try to focus on God! Pray more and read the Bible. Also make more friends! not to be more popular, just to be nice! do random acts of kindness! be the change you want to see in the world! do what you would want someone to do for you! You're growing up so fast. don't take what you have for granted. Live! If you're confused, hi, my name is Kaitlyn and I'm a 17 year old female. This letter is going one year into the future, I do this pretty much every year. if you haven't written a letter to your future self yet, i highly recommend it it's literally the best thing ever. It's also really cringey to see how you were in the past. Anyway I hope you liked my letter! I'll definetly write an epilogue in a year if I can figure out how lol. also I'm aware that some of the ways I said "goodbye" in different languages are wrong haha that was purposeful. anyway peace out)
