Time Travelled — 12 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hey, girly, it’s your fourteen-year-old self. Things are weird/tough for me right now—I told my teacher about my self-harm, and she told the counselor, who told my mom. Mom is super busy right now with work and stuff and she broke down to me about that and it didn’t feel good to have all that put onto me—it made me feel like a burden. The therapy place is supposed to call me soon to schedule an appointment. I had my first rowing regatta yesterday—we didn’t win and it was freezing cold and we got super wet, but I had a blast. I can’t wait for the next one. I went to a movie night at one of my teammates house last night with the other girls on the team and I was super nervous because I don’t know many of them super well yet, but it was fun! We’re supposed to do another ‘team bonding’ thing soon, and I’m looking forward to it. So, future me, enough about past you. How are you? Have you stopped self-harming? I’m just under two weeks clean and plan to stay clean for good. Are you still doing rowing? I hope so—it makes me really happy. Love you, and I hope you love yourself. -Me(you?)
