Australia Vaccination Target of 80%

Dear FutureMe, Has been the Vaccination target of 80% been reached? Will they finally open their borders? Will you be able to see your Australian boyfriend in spring next year, finally, after having to wait way over a year? Fingers crossed. Not VERY optimistic, but trying not to give up hope at the moment. Just crying in a little messed up ball all day ain't helping me, I guess. It's also almost Christmas and New Years Eve as you see this. The date he promised to visit me last year during Christmas. Oh well... some more holidays spent by myself, while he's probably hanging out with his friends in a fun hotel in Melbourne or Brisbane and I get to sit at home in germany and drink while crying, cause I hate being apart from him and I won't even be able to do anything fun, cause I bet germany will be in a harsh lockdown again like last year.
