Dear FutureMe,
Today that I write this is January 17, 2010. When you receive this it will be on April 1, 2010, a couple of months into changing your life, for real, and for good. I am tired of trying and trying and then giving up, even if it is giving up only for a day. I can see how amazing life can be, but I am not fully taking part in it, and all of its wonderfulness---this is stopping now. I am promising myself at this moment, that I will never smoke another cigarette. I am going to be completely committed to my (our) sobriety. I intend on working out, walking the dogs, reading, and seeking out information or visiting the forum to keep me committed to this choice to save my life. I can't let myself down. Not this time. I can't wait to get this e-mail and be able to say I DID IT! I REALLY DID IT!!!! This is my one life, this is my one chance, this is it and I am so excited to get started and to reap the benefits and rewards of my healthy choices! Here I go!
